Information Sent Directly
Search terms
A name or location entered into a search widget is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Appling County Busted Mugshots does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider may apply its own privacy notice and retention practices.
Messages
An email or contact submission can include the sender’s name, address, phone number, email, and message. Those details may be kept so a reply can be sent and the conversation can be handled. They are not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law or needed to address a security or legal issue.
Technical Data and Cookies
When a page loads, ordinary technical information may be collected by the hosting, analytics, advertising, or security services used with the pages. This may include:
- IP address
- Browser type and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages visited and time spent on each
- Referring website, when one is supplied
- Request timestamps
Cookies
Cookies or similar storage may help measure how visitors use the pages, support features, or deliver advertising. Browser settings can block or delete cookies. Some features may work differently when that happens.
How Information Is Used
Information may be used to keep the pages available, route a search to the selected partner, understand which content is useful, detect and fix technical problems, protect the service, and show advertising that may match general interests. Search-provider processing is governed by that provider’s terms as soon as a query is sent.
Outside Websites
The pages link to the Appling sheriff roster and request form, police and court offices, state corrections, federal locators, local news, and other resources. Once a visitor clicks an outside link, the receiving organization’s privacy notice controls its collection and use of data. Appling County Busted Mugshots does not control those policies, records, security, or uptime.
Advertising partners may use cookies or similar tools to observe activity across sites for targeted advertising. That processing occurs on the partners’ systems, not as a promise that this reference site can see or control every downstream use.
Who May Receive Data
Personal information is not sold by Appling County Busted Mugshots. It may nevertheless be handled by the following parties when needed for the functions described here:
- Search partners that process an entered query
- Analytics services that measure page use
- Advertising networks and their service providers
- Law-enforcement or government bodies responding to a valid legal order
Security Practices
Reasonable, standard safeguards are used for information held by the reference service. No internet-connected system is fully secure, and no statement here promises that data, a message, or a transmission will be breach-proof.
Visitors Under 18
The pages are intended for adults. They are not directed to children and do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor sends personal information, a parent or guardian may use the Get in Touch route to ask that it be deleted.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and reasonable identity checks, a person may ask about information held in connection with a direct message and may request:
- A copy of personal information held
- Correction of an inaccurate detail
- Deletion of information that no longer needs to be retained
- An opt-out from certain processing where an applicable choice exists
Requests can be sent through Get in Touch. A request involving a third-party search provider, government office, or advertising network must be directed to that organization as well.
Changes to This Notice
This Privacy Notice may be revised when the pages, tools, or data practices change. The updated version takes effect when posted here, with a new effective date when appropriate. Continued use after an update means the revised practices are accepted.
