Terms of Service

These Terms of Service set the conditions for using Appling County Busted Mugshots. By visiting or using the reference pages, a visitor accepts these terms. Anyone who does not accept them should stop using the pages and the linked tools.

Appling County Busted Mugshots is a private reference service, not a government agency, sheriff’s office, jail, or corrections department. It does not keep official custody records or control the offices linked from the pages.

What This Service Is

The pages collect public navigation information for Appling County, Georgia. They point readers toward the sheriff’s roster and request form, police and court offices, the Georgia Department of Corrections, and federal locators. They do not release a person, confirm a custody status, file a court document, or hold an official booking record.

Neither Appling County Busted Mugshots nor its advertising partners offer consumer-reporting services. The service is not a private investigation firm and is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Acceptable Use

Use the pages only in a lawful and respectful way. The following conduct is not allowed:

  • Breaking a law while accessing or using the pages
  • Stalking, harassing, threatening, or intimidating another person
  • Using records or search results for prohibited FCRA purposes
  • Attempting unauthorized access to the pages, tools, servers, or accounts
  • Running bots, scrapers, or automated requests that burden the service
  • Interfering with availability or disrupting access for other visitors

Nothing in these terms authorizes a visitor to approach a wanted person, interfere with law enforcement, or treat an arrest allegation as a conviction.

FCRA Boundary

Appling County Busted Mugshots is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. It does not provide background reports, credit reports, or consumer reports, and neither the service nor its ad partners provides screening services. Information from these pages and linked tools must not be used for an FCRA-covered decision, including:

  • Hiring, firing, or another employment decision
  • Tenant or housing screening
  • Creditworthiness or insurance pricing
  • Licensing, permits, or government-program eligibility
  • Any other purpose regulated by the FCRA

These restrictions apply even when an outside provider offers a search or report after a visitor leaves the pages.

Links and Partner Tools

Links may lead to jail rosters, police records pages, court portals, sheriff and corrections sites, federal locators, local news, and third-party search tools. The linked organization controls its own content, data handling, charges, terms, privacy policy, and uptime. A link is provided for navigation and is not an endorsement or guarantee.

Search tools can send entered information to their outside provider. Review that provider’s terms before submitting information or paying for a service.

No Warranties

The pages and their content are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, no warranty is made that the information will be:

  • Accurate, complete, current, or free from error
  • Available without interruption
  • Free from bugs, defects, or security weaknesses
  • Thorough in the results returned by a partner tool

Custody status and public records change. Nothing on the pages is an official statement by the Appling County Sheriff’s Office, a jail, a police department, a court, GDC, or another government agency.

Liability Limits

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Appling County Busted Mugshots and the people who operate it are not liable for losses, damages, claims, or costs that arise from accessing, relying on, or being unable to use the pages, search tools, content, or linked services. This includes direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, and similar damages, subject to any limit that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Indemnification

A visitor agrees to defend and hold harmless Appling County Busted Mugshots, its operators, contractors, and content partners from claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, that arise from the visitor’s use of the pages, violation of these terms, violation of law, or harm caused to another person.

Intellectual Property

The original text, graphics, logo, layout, and code on these pages belong to Appling County Busted Mugshots or the applicable content partner. No one may copy, distribute, modify, publish, sell, or create a derivative version without written permission, except for a use allowed by law. Government and third-party marks remain with their owners.

Changes to the Terms

These terms may be revised at any time. A revised version becomes effective when posted. Continuing to use the pages after the effective date means the visitor accepts the changes.

Access May End

Access to all or part of the pages may be limited, suspended, or revoked at any time and for any reason, with or without notice. The acceptable-use, FCRA, ownership, liability, indemnification, governing-law, and severability provisions remain effective when appropriate after access ends.

Georgia Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without applying a conflict-of-laws rule that would select another law. Unless a controlling law requires another forum, a dispute must be filed in a court located in Georgia.

Severability

If a court finds one part of these terms invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. The affected language should be adjusted only as far as needed to make it enforceable while preserving the original purpose.

Questions

Questions about these terms may be sent through Get in Touch. Questions about custody, records, warrants, court outcomes, or release must go to the responsible government office.
